With respect to its subject matter, the undersigned Adelmo Sorci , head of MarlinTremiti, announces that on 11.06.2008 it was found a plane wreck off the island of San Domino. From an initial investigation and analysis of structures, it is assumed that the aircraft may belong to those models used during the Second World War. Currently it is covered with fishing nets such as "trawling". Location of Wreck: Southeast side of San Domino Island 49 / 52 meters depth, identifying short history two weeks ago (May 28, 2008) commenced operations Marlintremiti diving for the detection of some anchor points for the shipping companies. During the exploration and research at depths of 50 / 52 meters on June 8 were identified metal fragments (presumably plane wreck), and peaks of significant size in diameter and length. After analyzing the findings it was decided to try to define more accurately the origin of the items found and the definition of the area of \u200b\u200bseabed to be explored. 
Notes on previous research: As early as September MARLINTREMITI 2005, had turned on deep water and on the basis of reports, research of a type of plane Cannot Z 1007, as segnalatoci inabissatosi for killing off the coast of San Domino and then dragged from his fishing boat because entangled in trawl net. On that occasion they were found but only a few unambiguous elements of the alleged presence in the vicinity of the entire wreck. Then, the diving operations were, however, deferred to the Command of the Carabinieri Tremiti through paperwork. Historical references

Given the considerable depth has been established an accurate plan of work which included: 1_sollevamento to the surface of a part of the long top (with balloons lifting); 2_ancoraggio with buoys of a part of this; 3_individuazione the top of the head and tail; 4_localizzazione of metal fragments; 5_analisi goals reached after a few dives and the achievement of goals 1 and 2, June 11, we proceeded to explore the bottom of the head and tail of the peak ( 3). On the first dive on that we had identified as "head" to the depth we have identified the remains of a 49/51 meter air (presumably the last war), harnessed in a big trawl abandoned. Aware of the historical importance we immediately informed the core of the Carabinieri of Taranto diver who, finding Tremiti Islands for routine diving operations could see the evidence produced. On 6/12/2008 all the organs of jurisdiction have been informed of the discovery.
