Database Design Cost Breakpoints

Torre Astura (data not shown)

An American Hunting Tower Astura found three divers Roman
All of us as children we dreamed of living fantastic emotions exploring unknown seas and discovering hidden treasures, with a sunken galleons full of precious jewels and gold coins. For us, by adulthood this thirst for emotions and knowledge of the seas has become a huge passion for scuba diving. So, after a good training that has cost us many sacrifices, we have tried to use almost all of our free time to visit the wrecks of all kinds, always with the secret hope discovery of a fantastic and exciting. We have over half the world and one day, amazingly, we made a fascinating discovery of your front door. Near Rome, in front of the sea Neptune, the depths generally do not give much satisfaction, but the passion is so great and so even a simple bathroom to amuse the children can become an opportunity for exploration. In a depth of few meters away, near Tower Astura, my friend Mark noticed something strange that intrigued me and, after a rapid diver in apnea, gave the warning to the group. Time to wear the necessary equipment and with a heart full of emotions we dived. Now we have had confirmation that there was really something strange, something that looked a lot like the fuselage of an airplane. Thus began our great adventure!

E 'now late afternoon and the time is really short. The first impulse is to stay the night on the beach not to abandon our "Treasure", but reason prevails and we return, reluctantly, home. The next morning we are back in place. We have a technical equipment and photographs of all respect, emotion is at its maximum and we are firmly determined to go all the way, even if it means stealing time with the family and at work (the holidays are finished now), because if really down there there was something we crowned the dream of our life. It 'took almost a week of work to free up some' the 'thing' concretions from marine and finally the adrenaline shoots a thousand: the "thing" is! And 'there in front of us, completely intact and in perfect condition, it's a plane, a fighter of the last war and appears to be still flying. It has a wing and the other slightly silted up. They are in perfect condition the propeller, engine, cockpit with the pilot's seat, three machine guns. The tail is cut off, perhaps due to the impact with the surface and glimpse of the steel tank that despite sixty years of immersion still shines as the day of his latest unfortunate volo.Le proceed to explore the frenetic pace due to favorable sea conditions and the fact that the aircraft lies in a shallow depth. On every dive we try to collect a lot of data to be able to identify. This is a twelve-cylinder car, the wing is about five meters long and is painted yellow and white, the propeller and engine are still in place. The wreck has remained hidden all these years because it lies in a basin filled with sand that the latest storms have partially discovered, making visible what was hidden. Only the top of the fuselage has marine concentrations, the rest, protected by sand, is in perfect stato.Abbiamo collected all the elements that we felt to assist in identification of the aircraft and a considerable amount of photographic material, and then we began to read. This is certainly an American fighter, a Curtiss P40 Warhawk (Falco war) used for the landing at Anzio in World War II: he was a fighter clearly inferior to his contemporary rivals, not excelled either for speed or for weapons, but it was the first aircraft to be built on a large scale: 13,738 copies in all its variations from 1937 to 1944. Probably the reason for its success was the extreme reliability and speed with which the assembly lines were able to manufacture it especially early in the conflict. So much so that it was used in all scenarios War era, from Africa to China, Hawaii (who does not remember piloted by Ben Affleck in the movie "Pearl Harbor"?), landing at Anzio. Its uniqueness was the customization that each team was used to carry on their aircraft: the most famous being the mouth of a shark or a skull painted on the fuselage.

Just near Torre Asturias, in the area between Anzio and Foce Verde, January 22, 1944, under the command of U.S. General John Lucas, began 'Operation Shingle, "then went down in history as" Anzio " . The fighter we have found is oriented parallel to the beach to a depth of about 6 feet and still has some of the bullets for machine gun and other items supplied. Visibility is often limited and we had to do a lot of diving in order to have small pictures accettabili.Data depth exploration is particularly simple. You can see the nose cone complete with the propeller, the engine behind the cockpit, the pilot's seat. The fuselage is devoid of the stub tail, which leaves open the fuel tank. The wings are the best preserved because they are buried by sand. They include: they have machine guns, street lights, and the flap can still be seen the symbols of the star on white band typical American aviation. From the research we have been able to carry out, the air should be dropped at sea 31 January 1944 and we think that in a relatively short time we will also be in possession of the driver's name and its history that we hope will be finished bene.La joy that we have tried to live this adventure, which crowns the dream of our life is indescribable and is only overshadowed by the concern to protect the wreck from looting of souvenir hunters. It would be great to be able to find someone willing to finance the recovery of the aircraft, but this is another beautiful story of which we do not yet know the end.
