Sixty years after losing power and being rushed to a beach in Wales, the American Lockheed P-38 Lightning has re-emerged from the waves and the sand that had buried a war surplus World War II the U.S. government and forgotten unknown British public. In these decades, beach goers, swimmers and wet, were very close to the plane, totally unaware of its existence just under the sand. Only this summer has reappeared due to special conditions that have caused the displacement and the erosion of the sand.
The British aircraft did not reveal the exact location of the aircraft and Welsh local authorities have agreed to keep the plane under surveillance.
